DESCRIPTION

As an introduction, Campus Party is not a university thing. It has been compared to the original TED+SXSW+Burning Man --- A very dynamic ground up and multi-disciplinary community and festival at scale We are bringing everyone in APAC here, >4,000 people over the weekend of 6-8 July.

The focus and theme is Create The Future. As of this week, we have confirmed thinkers and doers who are TED Fellows, TED speakers, Forbes 30 under 30, Earth Hour WWF, ArtScience Museum, National Gallery Singapore, former Cirque du Soleil performers, Singularity U alumnus, Googlers from The Valley, Singapore's Supercomputer Centre, world renowned live loopers, people who have travelled to Antarctica, regional innovators curated by Intel, ingenious technologists from MIT Emtech, designers, architects, et al.

This is the core of who we are and what we believe: Unlike other events, at Campus Party it's never only about getting on and off the stage for a few minutes only. In a second part, presenters have their own dedicated engagement with the community We are building 5 workshop spaces and 12 discussion lounges to run small group conversations, ideate, conduct a hands-on demo, mini-workshop. This is dedicated time to share, show, discuss, debate, explore important questions, issues and what people deeply care about.

Here's 9 things about CAMPUS PARTY:
1. CP has been compared to the original TED because of the convergence of multi-disciplines + SXSW because of music and art + Burning Man because of its ground up creative community and people continuously camping out indoors in tents !
2. Over the last 20 years, since 1997, over half a million multi-disciplinary people have joined the global Campus Party around the world.
3. We are looking for people with great spirit and values who want to be part of this movement, community and festival.
4. The focus is on action, doing, creating, imagineering, inventing.
5. We are building a mini-city in Singapore Expo on 6-8 July in Singapore with 6,000 multi-disciplinary people and 400 residential tents for even more amazing experiences.
6. We are inviting and bringing in creators, creatives and communities from all over APAC, and not just from the fortunate First World countries, but from Bhutan, Myanmar, Nepal, Batam, etc.
